Marvel Legends Mark 43 Iron Man and Cap – Age of Ultron

I have been buying and collecting Marvel Legends for most of my life. I mean, I nearly shed a couple of those man tears when they discontinued the franchise for a good five or more years. And when they made their official return, I did shed some of those man tears. Don’t worry they were out of joy. So, I recently picked up the Age of Ultron Captain America and Iron Man Mark 43. They are beautiful.

IRON MAN: In case some of you don’t know already, Iron Man is my favorite superhero and overall character from anything. It’s creepy, I know….but hey, here at the Geek community we don’t judge. I hope. The sculpt on this guy is definitely movie accurate, although it being a repaint of 2013’s Mark 42 by Marvel Legends. I luckily got a version of him that has perfect paint so I didn’t really have any of those annoying smudges that you commonly get on Iron Man figures. Besides that, the only big gripe I have about this figure is the second head sculpt which features a “movie accurate” interpretation of tony Stark with an open face plate. And if you didn’t get that, I was sarcastic. The helmet surrounding the face itself is wonderfully sculpted and detailed even more so than the first sculpt. But the face….well….you’ll just have to see for yourself.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: As for Cap, it isn’t my favorite suit that he’s had in his cinematic history, but it is still a really cool and interesting take on it. The figure as a whole, besides the chest and stomach area, is a repaint of the Winter Soldier suit (Stealth Strike). I really do like all the detail they put and how they sculpted the padding and bullet proof pieces he has placed over his body. He, just as the Iron Man, comes with a second head as well. This time, we get a “movie accurate” head sculpt of Steve Rogers with his cap helmet. I said this in the review itself, but I’ll say it again. If this were a suit based off the comics, then the sculpt would be dead on. I wouldn’t ask for anything more. But because this is an interpretation from Avengers: Age of Ultron, I sadly have to say it is as disappointing as the Iron Man sculpt. HOWEVER, that should NOT stop you from buying this figure! I love it with all my heart, and I’m not even that big of a fan of Captain America. I sincerely urge you to pick this guy up!

Overall, these figures are great. Now, yes, they do lack a good second head sculpt but you should expect that from Marvel Legends and/or Hasbro toys. Plus, are you really going to display these amazing figures with the actor’s head? Well, okay, you might. I would if Iron Man had a good sculpt. Anyways guys, I do really hope you enjoyed reading my review and, if you are interested, please check out my video review of these guys on my channel –
